The meadow is situated on the south eastern edge of the village of Kettlewell, just before the bridge, between the main road and the River Wharfe, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The land extends in total to approximately 0.35 hectares (0.86 acres) and comprises a single meadow bordered by natural dry stone walls together with a narrow strip of land having approximately 45 metres of frontage to the River Wharfe.
The land slopes down from the main road (B6160) to the river with access via a pedestrian hand gate from the road. There is a small field shelter within the land and the land is crossed by a public footpath running across the bottom of the meadow against the boundary wall.
