The Leeds Liverpool canal passes through the village and the railway station provides regular services to Skipton, Leeds and Bradford and is also on the Settle Carlisle line. Gargrave is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park making it the perfect base from which to explore the magnificent surroundings.
This wonderful plot of land extends to approximately 0.5 hectares and enjoys an idyllic backwater position with frontage to the River Aire and views across open countryside. Access is via a short section of private drive from Marton Road with the site lying adjacent to a small, newly developed holiday park in separate ownership.
Full planning permission for the change of use of land from a fish farm to a chalet park was granted by Craven District Council under application number 30/2106/17419 dated 05 December 2017.
We understand that works on site have been undertaken which constitute a commencement of the development and on this basis the above planning permission is extant.
The approved scheme provides for a total of fifteen holiday chalets with two types of chalet approved. There are 11 number 14' x 40' units and four number 20' x 40' units.
We understand that mains water and mains electricity (3 phase) are connected to the site. We understand a mains sewer runs in Marton Road close to the site. There is no mains gas available.
From Skipton head north west on the A65 and continue for about 2.25 miles to Gargrave and in the centre of the village opposite the 'Dalesman Cafe' turn left onto the Pennine way over the river bridge. Continue for about 150 metres turning right onto Marton Road out of the village for about 0.5 miles where the property can be found on the right. A for sale sign has been erected.
